A historic hotel in the heart of Istanbul now offers rooftop dining with a beautiful view, from their seventh story restaurant. Using a unique, frameless glass door wall system for sidewalls that are almost invisible, they’ve created a great environment with glorious views while providing wind protection. A clear sky view was a key design criteria, so Libart created a retractable roof with a innovative, 170 degree design. Polycarbonate was used for the glazing and long sheets of the material stretch from one side to the other , within framing, to provide thermal breaks. The factory fabrication lessened the installation time, so within a few days, the restaurant was ready to welcome diners seeking a meal with a view.
