Divan Restaurant Retractable Roof Project #4565 Project Description
Divan, a legendary Turkish restaurant renowned for its food and hospitality, wanted to make the most of their spectacular location by sharing Mediterranean sun with its patrons while protecting them from the wind, rain and storms of the Bosporus. They also wanted to use the natural daylight to illuminate the restaurant until sunset.
Libart met the specifications required for this project, creating a 3-section roof over the café area that retracts to allow natural light to illuminate the indoors. This retractable roof covers the café eating area when stormy weather arrives , creating a unique atmosphere that attracts customers from all over the city.
